About us:
We are one of the leading specialist clinics for ophthalmology, laryngeal surgery and orthopaedics in Germany. We offer almost all veterinary services of classical orthopaedics, general surgery, internal medicine as well as emergency surgery.

Veterinarian (m/f/d)

for clinic ward, ambulance and emergencies (full-time)

Your tasks:

  • Independent care of ward patients (with specialist veterinarian or diplomate in the background) including X-ray pre- and post-op, ultrasound, joint injections, stasis antibiotics, colic intensive care, control endoscopies, air sac treatments, wound irrigation, dressing changes and wound treatments incl. etc.
  • Independently perform treatments on outpatients and prepare and follow up (no driving experience).
  • Independently care for emergencies (with specialty veterinarian or diplomate in background).
  • Communication with owners

Your profile:

  • You are a licensed TA and have already gained 1-2 years of professional experience in equine medicine
  • You are resilient and flexible and enjoy making a difference and being actively involved in the day-to-day running of the clinic
  • Willingness to work shifts and weekends
  • easyVET knowledge is desirable

Internship (m/f/d) 

Your opportunities:

4-day week in different areas of operation (rotating):

  • Outpatient clinic: Assistance to Dr. Körner (Dipl. ACVSMR, Orthopedics).
  • Ward duty: Care of in-patients incl. pushing Braun tubes, i.v. and i.m. injections, changing dressings, cast changes, X-rays, monitoring colic (incl. NSS, ultrasound, rectal examination, abdominal puncture), preparation for minor procedures or examinations of ophthalmological patients. 
  • Night duty: taking over the ward from the ward veterinarian, accepting emergencies (fully coached in the first few months, then independently with background help depending on level of training), assisting in the care of emergencies. The day before and the day after night duty are free. 
  • Anesthesia: standing and general anesthesia as far as possible independently (after structured training) – approx. 150 per year per intern. 

➢ In the course of the internship, assumption of responsibility for ward patients and emergencies (with specialist veterinarians or diplomates in the background) including all associated tasks if desired. 

Your profile:

  • You are a licensed veterinarian and want to gain “evidence-based” experience in equine medicine.
  • You are committed and enjoy making a difference and being actively involved in the day-to-day running of the clinic.
  • You are able to work under pressure and are flexible.

 Veterinary Assistants (m/f/d)

for ward, outpatient clinic or surgery (in each case full-time)

Your tasks:

  • Supporting the daily outpatient clinic and taking over various inpatient tasks
  • Preparation and follow-up of operations and patients
  • Coordination function for the operating theatre (e.g. controlling processes, checking hygiene, etc.)
  • Preparation of OP plans

Your profile:

  • You are a trained VA and familiar with handling horses or a career changer from the medical field.
  • You have initial experience in the operating theatre and know the basic procedures.
  • Ideally you are proficient in easyVET
  • You are flexible and able to work under pressure
  • You work in a structured manner and can work well in a team
  • Willingness to work late, night and weekend shifts (on the ward) with fair pay

 Office Employee (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

  • Customer service
  • Telephone service
  • Coordination of enquiries and appointments
  • General office duties
  • Control of information flows

Your profile:

  • You have experience in customer service and reception and are looking forward to being the first point of contact for our customers.
  • Ideally, you have a commercial or veterinary education.
  • You have knowledge in dealing with horses and ideally have a basic knowledge in the medical field.
  • You are resilient and flexible and maintain an overview in stressful situations.
  • You work in a structured manner and can work well in a team.
  • You are familiar with MS Office programmes.
  • You have a very good command of German and a good command of English.

Stable Assistants (m/f/d)

Full-time (40 hrs/week), part-time or as marginal employment (Minijob)

Your tasks:

  • Feeding horses
  • Mucking out stalls (shavings)
  • Care and maintenance of the stable buildings and grounds

Your profile:

  • You can tackle and are able to work under pressure
  • You are not afraid of horses
  • You are flexible and willing to work alternating shifts (early and late) and weekends.

Your tasks:

  • Cleaning and maintenance of the premises and equipment
  • Waste disposal
  • Cleaning windows

  • You are reliable and work independently and carefully
  • You have a good command of the German language
