At the invitation of Dr Fabrice Rossignol, the renowned Swedish Mälaren Hästklinik in Stockholm and the international seminar provider VetPD, veterinarian Milosz Tomaszewski from the Hanse Equine Hospital travelled to Sweden at the end of last year. Around 20 participants from various equine clinics in the region, most of whom deal with racehorses, wanted to attend his 2-day seminar on equine stress endoscopy on the grounds of the Mälaren Hästklinik. On site, Tomaszewski and Dr. Fabrice Rossignol from the equine clinic Grosbrois in Paris showed the course participants of “Poor Performance in the Standardbred Trotter – Upper Respiratory & Orthopaedic Problems“, with the help of a modern stress endoscope, different conditions of a horse’s larynx on a 2-year-old trotter on a treadmill. This made it possible to simulate rest phases as well as stress and to present new therapy options for laryngeal diseases. This type of examination is very promising, but is currently only offered by a few clinics across Europe. The general interest in similar seminars and therapy options is growing sustainably, so that they will also be offered in 2023, among others.
