Twice a year, we host a first aid course for horse owners, led by our veterinarian Jennifer Bormann.
In addition to covering the theory behind common illnesses, the course also includes practical exercises.
Listening to the heart, identifying the sound of healthy gut noises, and applying various types of bandages were, for example, part of the program.
The theoretical portion addressed important conditions such as colic, myopathies, and injuries. In addition to first aid, the course also focused on the prevention of these conditions.
Of course, a tour of the hospitall and some insights into our daily routines were not to be missed, and as always, food and refreshments were provided.
We’re pleased that the course continues to be so well received and will be offering it again in autumn 2025. The date will be announced on our social media pages, where you can also get a look at what such a course looks like at our clinic.
