Dr Olivier Brandenberger

Dr Olivier Brandenberger was born in 1987 and studied veterinary medicine from 2006 to 2011 at the University of Bern in Switzerland. While working on his doctoral thesis titled ‘Horse Video Atlas: Internal Medicine’, he had already begun to work at the Swiss Institute of Equine Medicine (ISME) at the University of Bern. He successfully completed his dissertation in 2012 under the supervision of Dr Gerber.

His training as a veterinary officer of the Swiss Armed Forces took place alongside his studies from 2006 to 2012. Dr Brandenberger began his practical veterinary career in 2013 at the Grosbois Equine Hospital in Paris, France. He worked there as a senior veterinarian under Dr Fabrice Rossignol until 2016.

Dr Olivier Brandenberger subsequently joined Wiedaugrund Animal Hospital in Rotenburg (Wümme) as an equine surgeon. After the successful move to Sittensen and renaming the hospital to Hanse Equine Hospital, Dr Brandenberger has led the specialist hospital together with Dr Stephan Leser and Dr Jens Körner since March 2019. He is responsible for the general surgery and soft-tissue surgery departments.
